Cosmetics¶
Cactus Mod has its own set of (more or less) unique cosmetics - some with an actual meaning and some that exist without any explicit reason. This page covers what they are, which (relevant ones) exist and how to obtain them.
Relevant Cosmetics¶
These are relevant cosmetics (currently only capes are shown here) which are linked to a specific circumstance and can / could be obtained by all players.
Milestones¶
Milestone capes like the 1000 Member and 1 Year Anniversary Cape are awarded to all players who have been around before / at the time the respective milestone was reached.
The 1000 Member and 1 Year Anniversary Capes can no longer be obtained.
Events¶
Event capes like the Place 2024, Gamescom 2024 and Place 2025 Cape are awarded to all players who have participated in the respective Event. Conditions and the definition of "participating" can vary and depends on the circumstances of the Event.
The Place 2024, Gamescom 2024 and Place 2025 Capes can no longer be obtained.
Time Based¶
Time Based capes like the Christmas 2024 and April Fools 2025 (Clippy) Cape are awarded to all players who have played during a specific timespan.

Obtaining Cosmetics¶
There are many ways to obtain cosmetics. Here are (almost) all of them.
🥇 Milestones¶
For some milestones (like the 1000 members milestone), every registered user receives a cape. As long as you have logged in before / during that event, you should obtain the cape automatically.
🚪 Playing during Events¶
For some other events like the 1st anniversary, every user playing during that event receives a cape. As long as you play cactus once in that timespan, you should obtain the cape automatically.
🛠️ Assigned by the Team¶
Staff members can manually assign capes to users. These are mostly random capes we've created for fun - feel free to ask for one (but please don't permanently nag us about it!)
Some capes like the developer cape are only given to team members.
🎫 Single-use codes¶
For some events like the Gamescom and for some special capes, single-use codes are given out to some users.
They can be redeemed using /redeem <code> <username> in our Discord Server
